Here are some common questions about selling on Afriezon
How do fees work on Afriezon?
Joining and starting an online shop on Afriezon is free. There is one basic fee called the Product Handling which includes processing, packaging, and delivery.
It costs UGX 0 to publish a listing to the marketplace. A listing lasts for four months or until the item is sold. Once an item sells, there is a 10% Product Handling fee on the sale price (not including shipping costs).
Product handling fees are deducted at the time of the transaction, before final payment for the product is deposited into the vendor’s account.
What do I need to do to create a shop?
It’s easy to set up an online shop on Afriezon. Create an Afriezon account (if you don’t already have one), submit your vendor registration documents (National ID, Signed Registration Form, Passport Photo, and Mobile Money Account details) via e-mail or in person, and once approved, login into your account and start listing products.
How do I get paid?
Funds from your sales on Afriezon will be deposited into your Mobile Money account.
Do I need a credit or debit card to create a shop?
No, a credit or debit card is not required to create an online shop. To be verified as a vendor/seller you have to submit a government issued picture ID which can either be a passport or National ID. You will not incur any charges for opening up your online shop and publishing your products listings.
